Self Management Tips

After the past year and a half of barely leaving the house, it's safe to say that most of us have fallen out of our efficient little habits. To combat this I've scoured the internet to find the best tips to help you become your most-efficient self.

#1 Digital Calendar

We love paper diaries here at EliteExecs, but there are certain impracticalities that come with them in our new digital age. Now that most people are working from home it makes it difficult organise meetings and plan events if everyone's calendar is scattered around various parts of the country, or even the world. This is why we recommend keeping your digital calendar up-to-date. You'll likely have one on your email or meeting applications and you can often sync these also, ensuring that your working days are as organised as possible.

#2 Social Media Scheduler

Keeping up appearances on social media is of the upmost importance as often this is people's first impression of your character/brand identity. We do, however, understand that it can slip to the back of your mind during your busy working weeks. This is where social media schedulers come in handy! You can create posts in advance and set them to be published across your social media channels at anytime, freeing you up to keep on the grind.

#3 To-Do Lists

A lot of the time work can get on top of us and make our days feel a lot longer than they need to be. This is why creating lists of tasks that need to be completed is a great way of clearly laying out your daily targets as well as helping you feel a real sense of achievement once you tick everything off.

#4 Chrome Extensions

If you're an avid user of Google Chrome then you may already know about this next tip. If you head to the google chrome store you can download a number of extensions and helpful tools that make browsing the web so much easier. For example, if you need to reference a piece of research and are on a bit of a time crunch, download the "My Bib" extension where you can copy and past the citation directly to your document. Or say you're reading a long piece of text and want to pick out certain snippets/quotes, download the "Weava" extension to highlight the text to make it easier to refer back to.

#5 Give Yourself A Break

This is the most important tip of all! If you're struggling to keep on top of all things work-related then it may be time to take a quick break, even if its only for 5 minutes to go and make a hot beverage. Give your mind a chance to catch up and relax for a moment, you'll often find that this is the most effective way to get your work finished.

That's all of the tips we have for you today! If you think of any more then be sure to let us know via our socials.
