Ever see those inspirational Linkedin gurus and wish you could be more active on your page?

Want to learn how to build an online community from your phone?

Do you struggle to come up with ideas for what to post?

I'm here to help you get started.

Getting Started

  1. Set up your account- If you already have a Linkedin account, this step will be quite easy for you. Ensure that your account states your full name, job title, industry, work experience, CV, and other relevant links and documents. You'll need to include a short bio too, just something basic that outlines your character and where you want to go with your career, think of it as a miniature CV.

  2. Decide your content pillars- Now you've got your profile up and running you've got to decide what to post. This sounds daunting but can be quite simple, you should think of each type of content as a pillar that holds up your professional image. These pillars can be anything that takes your interest but that also links to your industry or job role. You don't need to get too personal, but personality is key to success on Linkedin!

  3. Create posting style- Now you've decided on the posts you want to create, you should try to find your voice/tone. The copy is arguably the most important part of a Linkedin post as that's what will convey most of your key message. Whether colloquial or very matter-of-fact, make sure to keep your copy short snappy and relatable.

  4. Take inspiration- There's no shame in taking inspiration from the content you see on your timeline, after all the internet is a vast space full of recycled ideas. Follow the people who inspire you, save the posts that capture you and interact with the content that relates to you!

  5. Create your visuals- Creating content has never been more accessible, there are a number of platforms that you can use that make content creation work for you. Canva is one of our favourite platforms, they even have a short beginner designer online course to get you started.

  6. Get Posting!- You've done all of the hard work, and now it's time to publish your masterpiece! You can either post in the moment or use a scheduler (Buffer is a great free option), either way we're sure it'll be a smash hit.
