Top 10 Breakfasts to Help You Get Through Your Day!
Do you get to 10am and feel your stomach grumbling and growling and wonder why you just ate a cereal bar that morning? From French toast to a breakfast burrito, here's a list of our top ten breakfasts to start your day off with a (peaceful) bang!
#1 Blueberry French Toast
Delicious, sweet and a great start to the day- what's not to love? With elements of fruit, dairy and carbs this is the perfect way to set yourself up for a successful day. I love the contrast between the sweetness of the honey and berries with the sharpness of the cream cheese. Also this dish is quite easy to make for a morning where time may not be on your side. Here's the recipe if you want to give it a try!
Not exactly a firm favourite but still very reliable, porridge is a great source of nutrients and is proven to be a brilliant start to your day. You can dress it up with fruit and honey or leave it plain and simple. Either way, it's a winner in my eyes. Here's a recipe if you would like to try!
A simple dish, cereal has so many different flavour options and such a large variety of types its hard to deny that it's one of the better breakfast options. My personal favourite is cinnamon flavoured cereal as it brings a warmth to the sometimes gloomy mornings. If you want to have a go at making your own perfect cereal here's a recipe for you!
#4 Acai Bowl
Rising in popularity, acai bowls are a great source of nutrition and will absolutely smash your 5-a-day goal when it comes to your fruit and veg intake. They're easy to assemble and will guarantee to keep you fuller for longer. Here's a recipe if you'd like to try on out!
We have a whole day dedicated to them so that must mean they're pretty good! With endless combinations and all different types, pancakes are one of the more versatile breakfasts. My favourite toppings are banana, peanut butter and golden syrup but you can never go wrong with a sugar and lemon combo. Want to make them? Here's a recipe!
#6 Mixed Fruit
Not everyone's first choice for breakfast but definitely one of the healthiest, mixed fruit or fruit salad is a great option if you like a lighter meal at the start of the day. My favourite fruits are banana, honeydew melon and strawberries! I'm sure you don't need a recipe but I'm going to give you one just in case ;)
Arguably falling under the umbrella of cereal, granola is a great choice for a breakfast. Whether it be in the form of a cereal bar or with yoghurt and fruit, granola is a versatile, crunchy and delicious option to start your day with! If you'd like to make your own granola then here's a recipe!
#8 Spanish Omelette
I love this option for a breakfast as its warm, full of vegetables and very filling. I've had this both in a restaurant and at home and can honestly say its a super easy dish to make and tastes incredible! Here's a recipe for those of you who would like to try!
#9 Avocado on Literally Anything
I never used to be a fan of avocado until very recently! I had a halloumi bagel with avocado, a poached egg and siracha and can safely say its one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Granted, you may not have time to make it in the mornings before work so this may be more of a weekend treat. If you'd like to recreate the aforementioned dish then here's a recipe!
#10 Breakfast Burrito
Last but certainly not least, the breakfast burrito is for those of us with larger appetites. I wouldn't recommend having this before any strenuous activity as it's quite filling but its still a great dish and I would recommend that everyone try it at least once. Here's a recipe if you'd like to try!
So there you have it! I hope you can take inspiration from this list and spice up your breakfast!
